Young Life Shoe Drive
Young Life Williamsburg wants your OLD SHOES! Did you know that in the U.S. alone, approximately 630 million pairs of shoes are thrown away every year? We have teamed up with an organization to repurpose your old, unwanted shoes. Our goal is to collect 7,500 pairs of shoes by the end of July! We are collecting old shoes – any size, any condition – flip flops, cleats, slippers – ANYTHING that is worn on feet! All shoes can be dropped off Monday-Friday(9am-2pm) and Sunday at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1677 Jamestown Road. None of these shoes will end up in the landfill – ALL of them will go to support the work of micro-enterprises in developing countries. Questions? Please contact Trina Garrison at trinamatt@msn.com.
