Get ready for the second annual Yorktown Tea Festival from November 6-8, 2024, at some iconic spots like the American Revolution Museum, Watermen’s Museum, and more! Get your tickets HERE

Here’s the scoop:

  • 🫖 Sip & Savor: Sample unique tea blends and discover the secrets behind historic and herbal teas!
  • 📚 Tea with a Twist: Learn about the culture and politics of tea on the verge of the American Revolution!
  • 🎤 Keynote Speaker Alert: Susanna Reppert Brill, a tea and herb expert, will spill all the leafy details on the history of herbs and tea!
  • Daily Fun: Kick things off with a tea tasting at 10 a.m. and wrap up with a delightful 3 p.m. tea time!

Wednesday, Nov. 6
This year’s keynote speaker, Susanna Reppert Brill, clinical herbalist and manager of the Rosemary House & Gardens in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, will take guests on a tea-riffic journey on the history of herbs and tea on opening day (Nov. 6) at the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown.

  • 10 a.m. Meet & Greet Tea Tasting
  • 10:30 a.m. Keynote Speaker – Susanna Reppert-Brill
  • 11 a.m. Session 1 – Blending Your Own Tea with Tea Susanna Reppert-Brill
  • 12 p.m. Lunch Session – Spilling the Tea on the Tea Parties!
  • 2 p.m. Session 2 – Explore the Museum at Your Own Pace (Self-Guided Tour Includes Tea-Focused Gallery Guide)
  • 3 p.m. Tea Time – Protest (Raspberry) Tea

Thursday, Nov. 7
On Day 2, guests will meet at York Hall (301 Main Street) and be escorted around Historic Main Street.

  • 10 a.m. Meet & Greet Tea Tasting at York Hall with Lee Ann Rose – The Colonial Ladies’ Response to the Tea Trouble
  • 11 a.m. Session 1 – Custom House Garden with Jennifer Carver – What Herbs Were Crushed & Brewed During the American Revolution
  • 12 p.m. Lunch Session at Grace Episcopal Church
  • 2 p.m. Session 2 – Tea with America’s First Ladies of Tea with Winette Jeffery
  • 3 p.m. Tea Time at Grace Church

Friday, Nov. 8
Day 3 will begin at York Hall (301 Main Street) to continue to Yorktown Battlefield and the Watermen’s Museum

  • 10 a.m. Meet & Greet Tea Tasting at York Hall with Winette Jeffery – The Trail of James Lipton
  • 11 a.m. Session 1 – Yorktown Colonial Pottery / Poor Potter Site Tour with Dwayne Scheid of Colonial National Historical Park / Yorktown Battlefield
  • 12 p.m. Lunch Session – Smuggling along the Waterfront at the Watermen’s Museum
  • 2 p.m. Session 2 – Tea Etiquette with York Gardens & Tea Room
  • 3 p.m. Tea Time at the Watermen’s Museum featuring Mobjack Tea Blends
