Summer in Yorktown wouldn’t be summer without the sound of live music and dancing feet on the Riverwalk Landing every Thursday night. This annual outdoor concert series is free and open to the public and runs from June through August. Each show runs 6:30 to 9 p.m. and the lineup features an eclectic mix of Beach Music, Motown, Pop, and R&B.
Come early and get your favorite spot on the grassy field in front of the performance stage. Don’t for get to bring chairs, blankets, coolers and dancing shoes. Alcohol is permitted but only within the designated concert area. If you need a bite to eat – there are plenty of options. Historic Yorktown’s restaurants offer take-out options including brick oven pizzas, loaded burgers, wraps, sushi… and ice cream. A rotating food truck also parks on the field to offer quick and tasty to-go meals and snacks.

Visitors are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy dinner or dessert at any of Historic Yorktown’s waterfront restaurants including Water Street Grille, Carrot Tree, Umi Sushi, Ben & Jerry’s, Yorktown Pub, and Larry’s. Water Street Grille will also be set up on the lawn at most shows serving convenient to-go meal and snack options.
Guests are permitted to bring their own blankets, chairs, and small coolers. No tables, umbrellas, or tents are allowed. There will be a dance floor, friendly games of Cornhole, and to-go food from rotating food trucks available for purchase.
Free parking is available at the Riverwalk Landing parking terrace, York Hall, York-Poquoson Courthouse, County Administration Building, and other designated public parking lots throughout town. The complimentary, wheelchair-accessible Yorktown Trolley runs from 5 to 10 p.m. for concerts.
