Yorktown 4th of July – beach area closed to traffic

The Beach Picnic Area at the intersection of Water and Comte de Grasse streets in Yorktown will be closed to vehicular traffic on Saturday, July 4, but will be accessible to pedestrians.

That area and the remainder of the Yorktown waterfront will provide the  best locations  for viewing the Fourth of July fireworks.

Use of barbecue grills in Yorktown on July 4 will be limited to the National Park Service Beach Picnic Area located at the corner of Comte de Grasse and Water Streets.  There will be designated areas for the disposal of hot coals from grills.

Visitors are also reminded that public consumption of alcohol is prohibited.
