York County’s 2016 Great American Cleanup – June 4

kab-gac-logo

The York County Waste Management office is seeking volunteers to join in the 2016 Great American Cleanup.  Roadside cleanup crews will be organized to target Denbigh Boulevard, Fort Eustis Boulevard, Wolftrap Road, and Cook Road; however, volunteers are welcome to organize their own groups to clean up another county roadside of their choice.  In addition, citizens are asked to organize community cleanups through their homeowner association as well as other civic groups.  Volunteer groups can schedule their community cleanup dates and the Waste Management office will provide gloves, vests, and bags, and will arrange for the pickup and disposal of collected materials.  The Great American Cleanup will culminate with Clean the Bay Day on Saturday, June 4, 2016.

For more information or to volunteer, please contact Acting Waste Services Manager Laurie Halperin at 890-3780 or halperil@yorkcounty.gov.
