York County Safety Town – Volunteers Needed!
Safety Town is a government and community partnership designed to teach young children various aspects of life safety. Through the use of age-appropriate, hands-on interactive experiences, children enjoy learning lifesaving behaviors and practices that can help reduce the chance of serious injury.
Safety Town provides a safe and interesting learning environment that is set up to simulate an actual town. The Safety Town site features mock buildings, sidewalks and streets, and is used as a practice area for the safety lessons.
During the summer of 2016, York County’s Safety Town program will host its 22nd season. Two hundred forty (240) children will attend Safety Town during the summer.
