York County Juneteenth Celebration

Date: Saturday June 17, 2023
Time: 3 pm – 8 pm
Location: Athletic Complex, 412 Sports Way

York County is hosting a Juneteenth celebration on Saturday, June 17 at McReynolds Athletic Complex, 412 Sports Way. The event which runs from 3 to 8 p.m., features speakers, food truck vendors, family activities, bounce house, entertainment and more. It is free and open to the public.

Slapnation will perform from 6 – 8 p.m.

Following the celebration event, visitors are invited to stay for Movies in the Parks featuring “The Princess and the Pea”. The movie begins at 8:45 p.m. Lawn chairs and blankets are recommended for seating for this special Movies in the Parks showing.

This event is sponsored by York County, the York-James City-Williamsburg Branch of the NAACP, and the York County Chamber of Commerce.
