What is it?

Bike-n-Walk is a fundraiser! You can ride your bike or walk to help raise money for Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center. There are 1, 3 and 5 mile walking routes, as well as 5, 10, 15, 30 and 62 (new this year!) mile bike routes all on the safe and scenic Virginia Capital Trail.

Why should I participate?

By taking part in this fundraiser, you are helping provide a place where people begin a relationship with Jesus Christ and grow in him. Through Kaleidoscope Camp WCRC gives hundreds of young people an unforgettable experience of spiritual growth each summer. We cannot do it alone!

Half of the proceeds from Bike-N-Walk will go to the General Fund and the other half will go to the camp scholarship fund to enable children who could not otherwise afford it to attend camp.

How does it work?

Participants pay a $10 registration fee that covers the cost of the t-shirts and snacks that all participants receive. Families can register for $25. Teams of at least five and no more than 10 pay $5 each.

Then, our participants get per-mile pledges from their friends, neighbors, co-workers, and family. For example if you decide to ride 10 miles, you can ask your Aunt Wanda to sponsor you for a dollar per mile. If she says yes, you record her name and address on your sponsor sheet along with how much she has pledged. When you come to Bike-n-Walk, you turn in your sponsor sheet and ride your 10 miles. After the event, WCRC will mail your Aunt Wanda a notice along with an envelope asking her to send a check to WCRC. It’s that simple!
