William & Mary Juneteenth Commemoration on June 18, 2024 Events Open to the Public Starting at 11 am
William & Mary Juneteenth Commemoration – William & Mary is joining communities around the country to recognize and celebrate Juneteenth, which marks the end of slavery in the United States.
Program
William & Mary’s 2024 Juneteenth celebration will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 18 in the Sadler Center. The program will begin at 11 a.m. in the Chesapeake rooms and will include the following:
- Greetings from W&M and the City of Williamsburg
- Neika Simone Band
- Poetry Reading by Shawna Allston ’25
- Slam Connection
- Trivia
