Want to be on the School Board? Williamsburg School Board Applications are being accepted
Williamsburg City Council desires the names of City Residents who are interested in serving on theWILLIAMSBURG SCHOOL BOARD.
A Public Hearing will be held at the City Council meeting on November 13, 2014 to hear views of the community on the applicants for the School Board.
Applications for the School Board position will be accepted through City Council’s November 13 Public Hearing, but none thereafter. City Council will announce and appoint the City’s School Board member at the December 11, 2014 meeting, to be effective January 1, 2015.

Applications are accepted at any time for City residents interested in serving on one of the City’s 22 Boards and Commissions. These applications are kept on file for two years and referred to when openings become available.
WJCC School Board has 5 members from James City County who are voted by the public and two members are appointed by the City Council to serve four-year terms;
generally not to exceed two consecutive full terms. The Williamsburg James City County School Division is jointly operated by the City of Williamsburg and James City County. The Division is governed by the appointed Board. The School Board is the policy making body for the Williamsburg James City County Public Schools.
