Fall 2020 Learning Pods at Virginia Living Museum
The Virginia Living Museum is offering a safe learning space in a small group setting for grades K-5 in week long learning pods from September 21 through November 20, 2020. Weeks will alternate between NNPS/YCSD and HCS/WJCC to accommodate virtual meet up days.
Learners should arrive with the following supplies for the week which includes a fully charged digital device each day and a charger. Parents will be responsible for providing virtual meet times set by their teacher, as well as communicating any assignments that need to be turned in. VLM educators will facilitate a positive learning environment with animal encounters, brain breaks, and activities with peers, but do not guarantee grades. Parents must check their child’s progress each day and share any concerns.
Masks are required and all COVID-19 CDC recommendations will be enforced. This includes daily health screenings and temperature checks. Drop-off and pick-up will occur as a drive thru in front of the Museum – Please remain in your car.
