Broadcasting archived live recordings of Virginia Symphony Orchestra concerts

Now you can listen to archived live recordings of Virginia Symphony Orchestra concerts!

During this uncertain and stressful time, we believe that it is essential to unite through music. Over the next several weeks, the Virginia Symphony Orchestra is partnering with WHRO Classical Music, Hampton Roads’ premier classical music station, to broadcast archived live recordings of Virginia Symphony Orchestra concerts.

These broadcasts will begin this Friday, April 3 with JoAnn Falletta conducting the Virginia Symphony Orchestra in Wagner’s LiebestodBrahms’ Symphony No. 2 and Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet.

These archived concert recordings will be available each Friday at 9PM for the next several weeks by tuning in to WHRO Classical Music at 90.3 FM, or by virtual event by streaming online at https://mediaplayer.whro.org/live
