A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Written by: William Shakespeare

Directed by: Mark Lerman

Date: Thursday, June 20th – Sunday, June 30th

The fantasy! It’s Shakespeare’s most popular and most produced play. It’s all about passionate and petulant young lovers, the funniest band of bad actors to grace any stage, royal marriage, and the trickery of the weirdest bunch of forest folk you’ll ever see. All writ down by the Bard to prove the play’s most famous line: Lord, what fools these mortals be.

The course of true love never did run smooth.

King Richard III

Written by: William Shakespeare

Directed by: David Zarko

Date: Thursday, July 11th – Sunday, July 21st

The villainy! Psychopath or malformed tragic figure? Whatever you may think he is, there can be no doubt – Richard III is a villain to make all other villains (even Dallas’ J. R. Ewing) blush in shame for their limitations. To gain a throne, he kills his brother, half a court of nobles, two small children, and his best friend. It’s Shakespeare at his bloody, thrilling best.

I am determined to prove a villain.

The Turn of the Screw

Adapted by: Jeffrey Hatcher, from the Henry James novella

Directed by: Robert Ruffin

Date: Thursday, July 25th – Sunday, August 4th

The mystery! Do you believe in ghosts? You will by the time this stage adaptation of Henry James’ novella about a governess, two strange children, and a houseful of apparitions is over. Is it real or is it all in the mind of the governess? Is it a play or a thrill ride? Either way, hold on tight. And check who’s in the seat beside you from time to time.

They looked like perfect little angels.
