Governor Northam announced plans for most of Virginia to move into Phase Two on Friday, June 5. Richmond and Northern Virginia will remain in Phase One for further monitoring. Changes:
- Social gathering will increase from 10 to 50 people
- Restaurants may offer indoor dining at 50% occupancy
- Fitness centers open at 30% occupancy
- Museums, zoos, aquariums, botanical gardens may open with restrictions
- Outdoor concert, sporting, and performing arts venues may open with restrictions
- Swimming pools may include indoor and outdoor exercise, diving, and swim instruction
Remains in place:
- Wear face covering in indoor public settings
- Social distance
- Teleworking
- Church services may be held inside at 50 percent capacity
- Hair salon & barbershops may operate with one patron per provider by appointment
- Stay home if you are high-risk or have COVID-19 symptoms
- Entertainment and public amusement venues remain closed
- Childcare centers remain open for children of working families
- Overnight summer camps remain closed
