Volunteer at the Virginia Living Museum

Virginia Living Museum’s volunteers range in age from 11 – 92!

Volunteers and interns at the Virginia Living Museum come from many backgrounds and participate in various roles, but each and every one is critical to our mission of connecting our community to nature. You may see dedicated Museum volunteers and interns weeding in the Children’s Garden, engaging school groups on the Boardwalk Trail, scrubbing animal exhibits, restocking the Museum Store, and more! Summer VolunTEENS

Does your high schooler have a passion for animals and a love for learning? The Virginia Living Museum’s VolunTEENS program is the perfect way for them to spend the summer!

Your teen will gain experience in:

  • Hands-on experience with Virginia’s wildlife
  • Build confidence in public speaking & education
  • Make new friends while giving back to the community
