Chalk Paint vs Milk Paint:
- May 19, 2015 10am-12pm
- June 20, 2015 10am-12pm
- July 14, 2015 10am-12pm
During this workshop chalk paint and milk paint with face-off! We will begin by painting a wall hanger with the silky smooth General Finishes milk paint, and then play, play, play with American Paint Company’s all natural chalk paint. You will learn to layer paint, use paint as a wash, and to distress. The wall hanger will be finished with top coat and drawer pulls, and the memoboard will be finished with top coat and dark wax. You will leave with two personalized items that can be enjoyed in your home! Come prepared to have fun, relax and let your creative brain unfold.
Spring Workshop — Birdhouses and Garden Pots:
- May 21, 2015 10am-12pm
Celebrate your garden and the arrival of spring! Choose either a birdhouse or garden pot, then design and create your own personalized item of garden décor. You can elect to use either all natural chalk paint or environmentally friendly milk paint; then paint, layer colors, and distress (or not) to personalize your piece.
Summer Workshop – Monogrammed Trays:

Take home a beautifully finished monogrammed serving tray that is perfect for a gift or to display in your own home. During this 2-hour workshop you will re-purpose a cabinet door and drawer pulls, using reverse stenciling and two-color distressing, to create a personalized serving tray. Monograms can be done with split initials or traditional fonts, and anniversary dates can be added! For those wanting a shabby chic or aged look, dark wax can be added over top coat. Although you can reserve your spot in the workshop online, you’ll need to contact the shop in advance to make arrangements for your monogram. In just a few hours with friends, create an original décor piece plus gain the knowledge to try new decorating ideas in your own home!
Bring Your Own Project Workshop
- June 23, 2015 10am-12pm
During this allotted 4 hour timeslot, use as much time as you’d like to finish your personal piece with our assistance and products. A $25 deposit will reserve you a spot for this workshop.
Bring a small project to the workshop and work in a group setting to accomplish the finish of your choice. If you’d like to bring in a drawer or cabinet door to learn the techniques needed to complete your larger DIY project, just talk to us, we are always flexible. Call us to discuss your project or to reserve your spot.
