Ice Skating at Liberty Ice Pavilion in Williamsburg

Ice Skating in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg and Merchants Square at the Liberty Ice Pavilion! You can rent skates here too. And you can get hot cocoa and treats without taking off your skates! Magic & Illusion with Matt Serydarian – Sat., Nov 28th

Magic & Illusion with Matt Serydarian – This is a socially distanced outdoor magic show that will delight young and young at heart! Magic Matt is performing three shows on Saturday November 28th – so get your family tickets and get ready to invite some magic and wonder back into your life! More info


Williamsburg Farmers Market., Sat., Nov 28th from 8 am – 12 pm

It is in a new location until Dec 19th – find it in the Francis St. Parking Lot P6. But it will be full of vendors offer local produce, meats, greenery, and baked goods. Grab a coffee and stroll through the Market – you will be surprised at what you will find! And LCV Project will be performing from 9 am – 11 am.


ART-FULL TREE – THE FOLK ART CHRISTMAS TREE –

The Museums of Colonial Williamsburg cannot wait to kick off this holiday season! And it all starts with the The Folk Art Christmas tree, a 60+ year tradition. The Tree is up and it is stunning!! If you have your Good Neighbor’s Pass – entrance to the museum is FREE! But they have tickets for just the museum for purchase as well.

If you would like a guided tour, starting on Nov 30th you and your family can take a guided holiday tour of the galleries, visit the huge decorated tree, then create your own art-inspired ornament to take home! Historic Jamestowne – Inside James Fort Programs – on Thanksgiving Weekend

Location: Inside James Fort, weather permitting. Join the staff after Thanksgiving for two days of special Inside James Fort programming, including living history, coopering demonstrations, and talks on the importance of trades to the settlement as well as an overview of James Fort from perspective of Anas Todkill. This event begins on Friday, November 27.
If you haven’t been to Historic Jamestowne in a while – it is definitely worth the visit and it is good for kids and adults.

Thursday, November 26, a special Thanksgiving Day dinner is available on a first-come, first-served basis, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Jamestown Settlement Cafe. And this Thanksgiving holiday, enjoy family-friendly programs and demonstrations during this annual event on Friday and Saturday, November 27 and 28. On Sunday, November 29, the gift shops at both museums will join museum stores worldwide for Museum Store Sunday, offering 20-percent off entire in-store purchases. The first 25 patrons to make a purchase also receive a museum gift bag filled with special goodies.  More info


November 27-January 2 | Nature Nights Holiday Lights at the Virginia Living Museum

Specific dates: November 27, 28 and 29. December 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 20, 26, 27 and January 2, 2021. Time: 5:30pm-8:30pm (extended evening hours) Cost: VLM Members $9/ Non-Members $12 – ages 2 and under are free.

Enter an outdoor trail glittering with lights and holiday spirit. Take a nature walk on the outdoor trail and through the Dinosaur Discovery Trail village!  This new experience is right in time for the holidays and is sure to put you and your family in the holiday spirit. Receive a candy cane treat, cookies and cocoa. ADD your own Glow! Light up toys and wearables available for purchase. Credit card only. NOTE: all COVID-19 CDC recommendations will be enforced – social distancing observed on trail.

ADD a Planetarium Show: Mystery of the Christmas Star (select nights) OR a Laser Show: Laser Holidays (select nights)

Join us in the Abbitt Planetarium for these special holiday classics! Seating is limited to 20 guests per show.

Mystery of the Christmas Star – 6:30pm – Journey with the magi and attempt to discover the identity of the Star of Bethlehem!

Laser Holidays  – 8pm – Rock to holiday music and amazing lasers in Laser Holidays.

Cost: VLM Members $3 and Non-members $6 + Nature Nights Holiday Lights Admission. On Select dates: November 27, and 28. December  4, 5,  11, 12, 18, and 19, 2020.

Want to take the family on a Christmas lights drive?
