Summer Camps at York River State Park
UPDATE: York River State Park will not offer Summer Camps in 2024 however check back in 2025 for more exciting summer camps. Be sure to check out fun monthly programs going on now at YRSP.
York River State Park Summer Camps 2023
- Nature Explorers: for kids ages 6 (who have finished Kindergarten) to 8 years old – June 26-29
- Junior Rangers: for kids ages 9 (who have finished 2nd Grade) to 11 years old – July 10-13
- Nature Explorers – July 24 – 27
- Junior Rangers – August 7 – 10
- Nature Explorers – August 21 – 24
These exciting camps (Nature Explorers, ages 6-8; Junior Rangers, ages 9-11) has various themes depending on the development by the Park Interpreters. Most focus on exploring the waters of the freshwater Woodstock pond, tidal Taskinas Creek, and York River habitats along with adventures into the upland forest and discovering the history of the park. Other themes include learning outdoor skills such as canoeing, kayaking, orienteering, survival tactics, and outdoor cooking.
