Shopping Hours at Local Stores for Senior and Vulnerable Customers

This list is from Peninsula Agency on Aging. It will let you know the reserved times at our local grocery stores for shoppers who are Seniors and other vulnerable customers.

Senior Shopping Hours: 

TargetReserving the first hour of shopping every Wednesday for the most vulnerable customers

Walmart: From March 24 through April 28, Walmart stores will host an hour-long senior shopping event every Tuesday for customers aged 60 and older. 

Dollar General: stores will dedicate the first hour of every shopping day to senior shoppers.

Sam’s Club: Starting Thursday, March 26, locations across the country will offer shopping hours every Tuesday and Thursday from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. to impacted customers. Costco: open its doors for members 60 years and older every Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. 

BJ’s Wholesale Club: Members who are age 60 and older can shop from 8-9 a.m. every day of the week. There will be a designated entrance for those customers to use, as well. If you are not a member there is a BJ’s Club Annual Membership GROUPON running for $40 (regular $55) for an annual membership.

Aldi: stores will open at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and reserve the first hour of business for vulnerable shoppers, which includes senior citizens, expectant mothers and those with underlying health concerns.
