“This is everything off the field that relates to the next steps in your football career.”
Tidewater Physical Therapy and Tidewater Performance will host recruit757’s scholarship workshop for football players and their parents at its Newport News training facility on Tuesday, Sept. 24.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for athletes and parents to tour the Tidewater Performance Center and speak to trainers and physical therapists. The workshop will start at 7 p.m. and run until 9 p.m.
The Newport News Tidewater Performance Center is located at 751 J. Clyde Morris Boulevard.
“This is everything off the field that relates to the next steps in your football career,” said Andy Hilton, founder of recruit757, a scouting and video service for colleges who turn to the region to look for quality athletes.
Sponsored by BayPort Credit Union, the workshop will “cover NCAA rules and regulations, the NCAA Clearinghouse, how to tackle the SAT, what to expect from the recruiting process, financial planning, academics and much more.”

-Chris Scott, Head Football Coach at Ocean Lakes High School in Virginia Beach.
-Paula Brown on SAT preparation.
-BayPort Credit Union representative on college financing.
-Michael Scott, father of an NBA rookie, on the parent perspective.
-Todd Brookes, the Athletic Director at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, on Division II and III opportunities.
-Cody Morris, Tidewater Performance Coach and former College of William and Mary offensive lineman, on the college experience.
