Phase 3 Guidelines have been released and go into effect July 1
Moving into Phase 3 on July 1
Pools, Gyms, Religious Services…all have updates…
Each Phase returns us a little more toward normal but not a total return to the ways of old! So pools, gyms, religious services and social gatherings are all included in Phase 3.
There are a lot of changes and we’ve outlined a few below but for the full list follow this link to see what the Governor’s office Phase 3 Guidelines. It is a pretty clear document of the upcoming changes…dare I see a summer with swimming pools, live music and recreational sports?
- Maintain at least ten feet of distance for establishments where exercise activities, singing, or cheering is performed, and at least six feet of distance for all other settings.
- Social gatherings should be limited to 50% occupancy of the event space, if applicable, or 250 participants, whichever is less.

“Our Phase Three guidelines will help Virginia families and businesses plan for what the next stage of easing public health restrictions will look like in our Commonwealth,” said Governor Northam. “While we may not have the same spike in infections that many states are seeing right now, Virginians need to remain cautious and do the things that we know reduce transmission: wear a face covering, maintain physical distance, and stay home if you are high-risk or experience COVID-19 symptoms. This virus is still with us, and we must continue to adapt our lives around it and ensure we are keeping our vulnerable communities safe.”
