One Book One Community 2023
Join in for One Book One Community, an initiative that brings the community together for a shared reading experience. This year’s book selection is The New American  by Micheline Aharonian Marcom.  This “harrowing, heartbreaking story” (Kirkus Reviews) depicts the epic journey of a young Guatemalan American college student, a “dreamer,” who gets deported and decides to make his way back home to California. Copies of The New American are available for checkout at both libraries, and copies of the e-book and audiobook are available on the Libby app. Full events schedule
