The Life of Honey Bees – August 13

bee cycle

THE LIFE OF BEES (all ages) – On Saturday, August 13th, Pam Burton and the other beekeepers of the Colonial Beekeepers Association will speak to kids of all ages about the honeybee.  This program, held at the Freedom Park Interpretive Center at 10:00 am will allow you to come and take a closer look at the only insect that makes food for people —the honey bee.  Children can find out how these helpful insects work together to form colonies, collect pollen, and make honey.  We promise no one will get stung!Burton

This program is FREE but a $5.00 donation is suggested.  Registration is limited to 30 participants and is required for all children’s programs at the Williamsburg Botanical Garden. Please register by emailing wbgkids@gmail.com.
