Lackey Clinic needs the following donations during COVID19
Lackey Clinic provides medical care for low income and uninsured residents in Newport News, Williamsburg/James City County, York County, and Poquoson.
Without them thousands in the area would be in the emergency rooms for non emergency needs. They are treating the sick who can’t afford health insurance, providing mental health counseling and providing life saving medications to patients at no cost.
Donations needed:
They are only funded by grants and private donations. Lackey clinic is in desperate need of the following:
- Oral thermometers
- Pulse oximeters
- Automatic arm blood pressure cuffs to give to their sickest patients
- Masks
These patients are at high risk of getting COVID so the blood pressure cuffs, thermometers and pulse oximeters would allow their doctors to do telemedicine visits with the patients and keep them safe at home and out of the emergency rooms.
How to donation:
Call 757-886-0608 and let them know you’re coming. They can be dropped off right at the office 1620 Old Williamsburg Road. There is a blue tent in the parking lot and they can take the donations through the window there.
