MARCH – MAY 2016 at Jamestown Settlement
March 19-20: Military Through the Ages, Jamestown Settlement – Re-enactors and modern-day units show how uniforms, weapons and military tactics evolved through the centuries. The event features artillery firings, a Saturday children’s parade and a Sunday military pass-in-review. Admission to Jamestown Settlement is $17.00 adults and $8.00 ages 6-12. Children under 6 are free. Museum hours are 9 a.m.–5 p.m. daily. Jamestown Settlement is located on Route 31 South in Williamsburg. May 14: Jamestown Day, a jointly sponsored event at Jamestown Settlement & Historic Jamestowne – Mark the 409th anniversary of the 1607 founding of Jamestown, America’s first permanent English colony. Discover Jamestown’s legacy through interpretive programs on Powhatan Indian and English interactions, archaeology, military and maritime displays, and traditional music and entertainment. Separate site admission: Jamestown Settlement is $17.00 adults, $8.00 ages 6-12 and children under 6 are free; Historic Jamestowne is $14.00 adults, ages 16 and older.
