All about Jamestown Beach Event Park in Williamsburg, Virginia
Jamestown Beach Event Park is a family and dog-friendly beach that’s open daily 8 a.m. – sunset. The beachfront park features picnic areas (some shaded) with charcoal grills. A designated fishing area (freshwater license is required). Observation pier (for viewing only). Outdoor rinse stations; paddle craft launch/loading/storage area; and a concession facility. Kayaks are rented Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.
This fully accessible park features an ADA-accessible walkway, parking, restrooms, and a beach mat that provides direct access to the river—a floating beach chair is available for guests who request water access accommodation Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day.
Parking fees are charged for nonresidents at Jamestown Beach Event Park Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day. Effective Saturday, May 25 through Monday, September 2. Nonresident fee is charged Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and on weekends and holidays from 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
There is no parking fee for JCC and City of Williamsburg residents (must physically reside in the County or City). To avoid paying the parking fee, residents should bring with them proof of residency: a valid driver’s license or valid Virginia identification card that shows current address. If the driver’s license or identification card does not show current address, residents may present a current lease agreement, utility bill or voter registration card along with ID.
Parking decals for residents are no longer issued; however, previously issued decals are still valid, provided the decal is readable. Decals which are not readable will no longer be valid and will not be replaced.
