Is a Pre-Qualification Letter Useful?
by Real Estate Agent Kelly Maharty
Before falling in love with the house of your dreams, a buyer should be prepared for the home buying experience. Meeting with a mortgage loan officer first will alleviate a lot of stress . Checking your credit history, determining a loan amount that works with your budget and obtaining a pre-qualification letter, will make for an enjoyable and efficient home buying experience. The pre-qualification letter can also serve as leverage in cases of multiple offers. It will also set you apart from buyers that do not have a pre-qualification letter to accompany their offer, especially in a seller’s market.
