Healthy Eating for Families: What’s on Your Plate?

Friday, February 21st 5:30 PM in the Iron Bound Gym Fitness Room

The current Dietary Guidelines for Americans encourage us to be more physically active, eat fewer calories, and make healthier food choices. Of course, in a world of fast food, super-sized sodas, and television temptations, healthful eating can be a challenge not only for us, but also for our children.  Parents and caregivers can set a great example for the whole family by making healthy choices for themselves and teaching children to make healthy choices as well. But in today’s busy world, this isn’t always easy.

Join Cathy Forestell, PhD and Britanny Stroud, RN for an interactive discussion about the science behind food choices and preferences, and approaches and tips for improving your food choices and those of your children.

Free & Open to Public (members and Non-members)

Light refreshments will be served.
