High in Plain Sight: addressing community alcohol, drug and concealment trends
The Historic Triangle Drug Prevention Coalition (HTDPC) in collaboration with SpiritWorks Foundation, will be hosting a free virtual and in-person Town Hall Meeting addressing current alcohol, drug and concealment trends within the Greater Williamsburg area.
Retired Officer Jermaine Galloway, known as the “Tall Cop”, has more than 21 years’ experience in alcohol and drug education, enforcement and prevention. During his law enforcement career, he was a member of the DUI task force, a Crime Scene Investigator (CSI) and a field-training officer. He is completing a scan of the greater Williamsburg area and will share the results to help plan the next steps for preventing misuse in our community.
Following the presentation, participants will be able to tour a mobile “Hidden in Plain Sight” bus designed to resemble a teenager’s bedroom containing more than 100 items, which may be indicative of dangerous or risky behavior.
