Valentine’s Day “Glow” Roller Skate – February 13th

Skate, Rattle & Roll is open on Friday nights!  Beginners and pros alike will enjoy skating under sparkling colored lights to popular music provided by a disc jockey – with almost 7,000 square feet of skating area, there’s plenty of room for general skating, special games and contests, and socializing with family and friends. Parents can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that “Skate, Rattle, & Roll” is committed to ensuring a safe, secure environment. Admission Fee: $5.00 per person per session, includes skates or rent rollerblades for $3.00. The program is held in the Dare Elementary School Gymnasium at 300 Dare Road, Yorktown, VA 23692.

“Skate, Rattle, & Roll” offers sessions for families and elementary school-age children. Skates are included in the admission fee, you are welcome to bring your own (rollerblades are okay), or take your pick from the variety of children’s and adult sizes “Skate, Rattle, & Roll” has to offer. When you’re ready for an “break,” you’ll find your favorite soft drinks, water, and light snacks in our concession area, at a price that won’t break the bank.

6:30 pm to 8:30 pm — Family Skate

  •  Family and elementary school participants (K-5); older family members may participate if with their family
  •  Skaters arrive at 6:20 pm; door will not open prior 6:20 pm, and Parks and Recreation will not be responsible for children dropped off earlier.

9:00 pm to 11:00 pm — Middle School Skate

  • Grades 6, 7 and 8
  • Skaters arrive at 8:50 pm; door will not open prior 8:50 pm, and Parks and Recreation will not be responsible for children dropped off earlier.
