Hampton Horror Tours Open Auditions
Monday, September 12 & Tuesday, September 13, 6-7:30 pm
The Hampton History Museum’s Hampton Horror Tours is seeking volunteer actors of all ages, ranges, and types to fill multiple roles that represent Hampton’s vast and diverse history. The 60-minute tours will leave the museum at 6:30 and 8 pm, Tuesday, October 25 through Sunday, October 30. These tours raise funds for the museum.

With stories ranging from pre-European contact to the modern day, our goal is to present an event that is based on primary-sourced scholarship and quality performance to create an experience for our guests that is both teachable and terrifying. There will be a wide range of available roles and BIPOC actors are especially encouraged to audition.

These will be open auditions. You do not need to reserve a time slot. Please prepare a monologue of your choice no longer than 60 seconds to present at one of the above scheduled times. This may include a piece you have performed for Horror Tours in the past. Actors may also be provided with sides for cold reading at the audition. If you have a current headshot and resume, please bring them.

Director and scriptwriter Robert Weathers has been acting and directing professionally since 2002. He has worked as a character interpreter at Colonial Williamsburg since 2008 and since 2019 has portrayed George Wythe in the CW Nation Builder Unit.

If you have questions or are unable to attend one of the above times, please email director Robert Weathers at robertedwinweathers@gmail.com.
