Go Natives! Workshop on gardening with native plants, Aug. 16 2014

GO NATIVES! On Saturday, August 16^th, Denise Greene will be conducting a workshop on creating gardens using native plants.  As a certified member of the Virginia Society of Landscape Designers, Denise Greene has designed gardens for beauty and wildlife at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, at NASA Langley Research Center, and Westmoreland State Park.  She will demonstrate how to create home gardens using low-maintenance native plants that attract and feed bees, butterflies, and birds.  This program will be held at the Freedom Park Interpretive Center, beginning at 10:00 a.m., and is open to the public.  A donation of $5 for each guest is recommended.  For further information, contact Denise at sassafrasfarm@verizon.net.
