Gloucester Daffodil Show – April 2 & 3

The show will be open to the public from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.  This is an American Daffodil Society approved event.

In preparation for the show, exhibitors are invited to bring their blooms and arrangements to the school on Friday afternoon from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and early Saturday morning from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.  Pre-registration for entries is encouraged by emailing Peggy Bowditch (peggyb72@gmail.com) for horticulture blooms, Kate Zullo (zphyr94@aol.com) for artistic arrangements, and Linda Tjossem (latjossem@yahoo.com) for photography.  The schedule for the show is available in the Daffodil Show program.  Registration and help for entries will be provided at the gym the days of the show preparation.

The fourth graders who received bulbs through 4-H are encouraged to enter their blooms.  Also, youth division entries will have an ADS category.  Exhibitors will have the opportunity to enter a new miscellaneous horticulture class entitled, “My Beautiful Daffodil.”  Daffodil judges will be on hand to identify blooms and help fill out the entry forms. 

The show viewing will be open at 2 p.m. Saturday. The ADS judging will take place on Saturday morning.  The awards for all categories will be presented at 2:30 p.m. in the Botetourt gym.
