Flyover Hampton Roads to salute Healthcare Professionals, Frontline Responders, and Essential Personnel
Tuesday, May 12th, from 6:30PM – 7:00PM
F-22 Raptor Demo Team in partnership with Joint Base Langley-Eustis, the 1st Fighter Wing, and the 192nd Wing of the Virginia National Guard, will be performing a flyover of the Hampton Roads/Virginia Peninsula. This flyover will be flown at an altitude of 1000ft and will feature a unique 3-ship Heritage Flight Formation that includes two P-51 Mustangs of the Air Force Heritage Flight Foundation alongside an F-22 Raptor flown by Maj. Josh ‘Cabo’ Gunderson.
Inspired by the #AFSalutes initiative, the flyover is intended to provide a salute to all the healthcare professionals, frontline responders, and essential personnel working to keep everyone safe and healthy during the fight against COVID-19.
Virginia residents should watch the flyover from the safety of their home-quarantine and should refrain from traveling to see the flyover. Social distancing should be maintained at all times.
