Fizz, Boom, Read – Summer Reading 2014
Summer Reading for children up to rising 5th graders
Fizz! Boom! Read! Summer Reading returns to the Williamsburg Regional Library in June.
Who?
All children, from birth to those entering grade 5 who live in Williamsburg, James City or York counties. Children who are ineligible to enroll in the reading program are invited to enjoy all of our other summer programs.
Where?
Williamsburg Library, James City County Library and the WRL Mobile Library Services
When?
Enrollment begins June 9. Please bring your library card with you to register.
Title-sharing titles starts June 23 and ends August 3. You may share during library hours 30 minutes after opening until 30 minutes before closing.
How?
Register and receive your reading log. Every time you read or listen to a book, OR read or listen for 30 minutes, OR read for 30 pages, record it on your reading log.
Come to the library each week to share what you have read with staff. Each week that you come and share you will receive an incentive. Incentives will be posted in the Summer Reading Rooms at both libraries and on the Mobile Library Services vehicles. You will also receive special prizes for completing your reading log. Prizes are only available on the dates listed in your log.

Children who live outside of Williamsburg, James City and York counties are not eligible to participate in the summer reading program, but they are invited to attend our other summer events.
