Fathers Day Sail on Schooner Alliance
Yorktown Sailing Charters has spots available for Fathers Day this Sunday! What could be better than a sailing trip to enjoy time with Dad! Step back into history when you join the crew of the Yorktown Schooner Alliance. Help set the sail, steer the ship, or just look for dolphins and osprey as you sail the shores of the York River.
There are three sailing charters available:
- Sightseeing Day Sail – Lend a hand at setting sail, enjoy a beverage or snack from the ship’s galley, or just listen to the sound of the wind as we glide along under a cloud of canvas. $27-$39
- Scenic Sunset Sail – Come aboard and enjoy the evening views of the York River while enjoying a beverage from the ships’ galley. $39
- Pirate Adventure – Bring the kids to Captain Mayhem’s School of Piracy and watch them set the sails, steer the schooner, and learn sailor skills! This sail is a kid-friendly cruise, recommended for kids 10 and under. Older kids may prefer Sightseeing Daysail. $27-$39
While trips are relaxing cruises on the river and not narrated tours, the crew will point out sights along the river and talk about local history in the beginning of the sail. You are always welcome to ask the captain and crew any questions about what you are seeing.
