Farm and Forestry Museum Open House to celebrate Chippokes Plantation’s 400th anniversary!

This year marks Chippokes Plantation’s 400th anniversary. To mark this commemorative year, the Farm and Forestry Museum is holding its first Open House featuring newly renovated displays in the in the Home Life Building as well as the “Lives in Profile” exhibit in the Stoner Building.
Cultural Garden, River House, and Museum tours, as well as meet and greet sessions with our fabulous Farm and Forestry ambassador animals will be offer throughout the day. Guests can take a little of the museum back home when they buy plants and seeds harvested from the heritage plants grown in the Cultural Garden.
Donations will be accepted on behalf of the Friends of Chippokes Plantation to help support the Cultural Garden and the Farm and Forestry ambassador animals. The Friends of Chippokes is a 501c3 that benefits park projects and community events.
Admission is free, but a $5 parking fee will be charged per vehicle.
