Yorktown Workboat Races
June 2 @ 11:00 am – 4:30 pm
Watch a one-of-a-kind boat race, small, medium, and large workboats along the York River! The race begins at the Riverwalk Landing Fishing Pier and ends at the Coleman Bridge. Be sure to stick around for the last race of the day — the King of the Bay Race — featuring big workboats.
In addition to all the fun on the water, view a model boat exhibit in the Freight Shed throughout the day.
The free, accessible Yorktown Trolley will be running during this event. More info

- Opening Ceremony at Riverwalk Landing with a Special Announcement
- Model Boat Show begins in the Freight Shed
- Remote Control Boat Races off Riverwalk Landing Piers
- Sport Boats display at Riverwalk Landing
- Captain Herold’s Seafood Tent open
12 p.m.
- Race participants line up for parade and introductions

- Workboat races begin

- The awards ceremony will begin at the reviewing stand after the last race.
