Yorktown Lighted Boat Parade
December 7 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
The York River is going to sparkle! Watch as a fleet of decorated boats compete for Best in Show in the Yorktown Lighted Boat Parade.
6 p.m. – Pre-parade festivities start at and include caroling around illuminated braziers, a musical performance by The Fifes and Drums of York Town, and complimentary hot cider.
7 p.m. – The boats will make their way down the river in a dazzling show of lights. This annual event has been a community tradition for more than two decades and brings neighbors together to celebrate the season.
Families are encouraged to bring flashlights to assist in navigation around town at night. In the event weather conditions pose a threat, please call the Event Weather Hotline at 757.890.3520 for the most current information. This event is sponsored by the Yorktown Foundation.
The Yorktown Trolley will be running from 5 to 9 p.m. during this event.
