Historian/reenactor Michael Rolla will present “The Southern Strategy from a British Perspective” at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, in York Hall (301 Main Street).
During the Revolutionary War, Cornwallis launched a southern campaign to reestablish imperial rule. Mr. Rolla will discuss the strategic objectives and why they failed. The lecture is sponsored by the York County Historical Committee and is open to the public. It is presented in association with the Yorktown Virginia250 Committee, celebrating 250 years of the events that shaped the American Revolution.
