Special Event: The Big Bang of Country Music

The band Henley Fork, made up of musicians Doug Austin, Brian Forsman, and Lynn and Barry Trott. come to celebrate the Bristol Sessions, often referred to as the Big Bang of country music. These recording sessions held in 1927 in Bristol, Virginia, made the Carter Family, Jimmie Rodgers, and other early country artists famous.

Come and enjoy as this show re-imagines classic country music from Virginia and North Carolina recording artists from the late 1920s performed on mandolin, fiddle, banjo, guitar, and bass. This will be a one of a kind event. This event is a separate ticketed event you will need museum admission, annual pass or good neighbor pass plus an event ticket for this show ($12 / $6).
