Special Event: Poetry and Percussion

June 14 @ 2:00 pm 2:40 pm

Get ready for a joyful and engaging workshop with the amazing percussionist Gary Garlic! ๐ŸŽถ Participants will write poetry to percussive rhythms and explore different rhythm types based on their abilities.

Teamwork is the name of the game as you’ll join small groups to create collaborative poetry paired with chosen rhythms. Together, you’ll build your percussive poetry routine โ€œfrom the drum up,โ€ and each group will get to perform for their peers while Gary cheers you on! ๐ŸŽค๐Ÿ‘

Gary Garlic has been rocking the percussion world since 1994 when he started as a drummer at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg. ๐ŸŽข Since then, heโ€™s shared the stage with legends like The Temptations, Earth Wind & Fire, and Donna Summer. ๐ŸŒŸ Besides performing, Gary is also a music teacher, offering private lessons in drums, keyboard, and electric bass. ๐ŸŽน๐ŸŽธ

Join us for this fun-filled workshop and let your creativity and rhythm shine! Good Neighbor Pass, Museum Admission or Annual Pass gets you admission! More Info
