Sentara Cap2Cap presented by Dominion Energy

May 10 @ 8:00 am 5:00 pm

Gear up for the 19th annual Sentara Cap2Cap presented by Dominion Energy, one of the region’s premier cycling events on May 10th and 11th. Explore the scenic Virginia Capital Trail, a 51.7-mile paved trail stretching from Richmond to Williamsburg, as you roll through 400+ years of history. The breathtaking river views, forest canopies, fertile farmlands, rolling hills, and captivating Richmond skyline, provide a unique experience like no other. Perfect for any age and fitness level, the event features distances ranging from a family-friendly 7-mile ride to an exhilarating 100+ miles. You’ll be supported with furnished rest stops, SAG and mechanical support, and a vibrant community party to celebrate your miles.

Hosted by the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation, this family-friendly event offers a flexible open-start format, course support, restrooms, and on-site packet pick-ups. The event includes celebrations at Chickahominy Riverfront Park in Williamsburg (May 10) and Dorey Park in Henrico County (May 11), featuring food, beverages, music, games, and local vendors. Cyclists can tailor their experience by choosing starting and ending locations, routes, and ride days. There is also a 2-day challenge, virtual ride, and half-century shuttle option. Registration perks include an event bib, t-shirt, lunch, beverage ticket, and a Cap2Cap SWAG bag. Other exciting offerings include specialty food at rest stops and a group competition for extra fun and prizes!

Event proceeds support the work of the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation to protect, promote, and enhance the Virginia Capital Trail.
