The Revolution South of the James

Chippokes State Park is partnering with the local 7th Virginia Regiment of the Continental Line to host a special two-day event consisting of three total tactical reenactments and demonstrations.
The event will offer a glimpse into the battles, actions, and camp life experienced by many a man who fought as a soldier during this time in history. Soldiers will portray both the British and American Armies as they progressed on the road in the 18th Century. Two battles will occur on Saturday and one battle will occur on Sunday.
Food vendors will be on-site. The Farm and Forestry Museum will be open for self-guided tours. There will be historical tours of the Jones – Stewart Mansion. The Jones – Stewart Brick Kitchen will be open with live hearth cooking demonstrations on Saturday and interpretation on Sunday. More Info
