Lou Vangieri Live at Gallery at York Hall

The Gallery at York Hall opens for the 2024 season on Tuesday, April 2, with operating hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays. Admission is free. The Gallery is located at 301 Main Street in Historic Yorktown and is a cooperative effort between the Celebrate Yorktown Committee and York County.

The spring and summer exhibits at the Gallery are:

April – May

Yorktown Houses and Quilts featuring paintings by Jeanne Eickhoff

April 21 – Acoustical Guitar featuring Lou Vangieri, 12 to 2:30 p.m.

May 5 – Art at the River featuring Dick DePaul, Watercolors (display only)

May 19 – Acoustical Guitar featuring Lou Vangieri, 12 to 2:30 p.m.

June

Acrylic Paintings by Margaret Benton-Jones

June 23 – Acoustical Guitar featuring Lou Vangieri, 12 to 2:30 p.m.

July

Pine Needle Baskets by Joseph Jennings

July 14 – Meet Artist Margaret Benton-Jones, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

July 19 – August 1 – Christmas in July Sale with 10% off each purchase

Managed by volunteer Sharon Owen, the Gallery features the works of more than 300 local artists along with a variety of themed exhibits that change every six to eight weeks. The staff of 30-plus volunteers serve the community by maintaining an information area offering brochures, maps, and discounts to visitors, along with friendly service and hospitality.

This season kicks off with a Yorktown Houses and Quilts Exhibit for April and May featuring one-of-a-kind paintings of Yorktown homes and historic sites by Jeanne Eickhoff. Beautiful vintage and hand-sewn quilts will also be on display and for sale. Exhibits of paintings, basketry, and pottery featuring local artists are planned for this summer. Don’t miss local acoustical guitarist Lou Vangieri on select dates and a special Meet the Artist with Margaret Benton-Jones on July 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Gallery remains one of the most unique locations to purchase Yorktown souvenirs, including items featuring the popular Yorktown Onion, Fifes and Drums of York Town, Revolutionary-era soldiers, and nautical-themed art.
