Homeschool Days VLM: Ectotherms
Homeschool Days offer homeschoolers and their families discounted admission and educational programs. Programs are organized by age group, and the cost includes museum entry. The two sections are as follows:
Ectotherms: 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM | Recommended for ages 6 and up
From the slimy to the scaly, on land and in the sea, cold-blooded creatures are all around us. Come explore the world of ectotherms and find out what makes them so special, while making your own little ectotherm friend to take home.
Litter Clean up: 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM | Recommended for ages 8 and up
Help clean up litter at the VLM! We’ll collect data on the trash collected by sorting. Then, meet an animal ambassador and learn about protecting their environment.
Planetarium show – Day and Night: 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM | Recommended for ages 5 and up
Discover the importance of Earth’s shadow as a staff astronomer takes you on a journey from Day to Night.
