History & Cosplay: Match Made in Imagination

Inspired by Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation’s Ruth E. Carter: Afrofuturism in Costume Design special exhibition, the Jamestown Settlement’s “History & Cosplay: A Match Made in Imagination” will include a presentation by Shasta Schatz, a reception with light hors d’oeuvres and cash bar and a chance to mingle and explore the Ruth E. Carter: Afrofuturism in Costume Design special exhibition.
Wear your finest costume design, whether inspired by history, sci-fi, Afrofuturism, superheroes, or good old fashioned make-believe. Join cosplay enthusiasts to compete in a costume parade and contest. The festivities will conclude with a costume parade and contest with prizes awarded to audience favorites!
