Glass-only Recycling Pop-Up Events

Have you heard about James City County’s glass-only recycling program? In partnership with O- I glass plant in Toano, the glass-only recycling program is an extremely efficient way of recycling glass. Residents can drop off their glass containers at any Convenience Center. Come learn more about the program and pick up a bag or bucket to store your glass at a pop-up event:

•   June 27: James City County Library, 1:30-3:30 p.m., 7770 Croaker Rd.
•   July 11: James City County Library, 9-11 a.m., 7770 Croaker Rd.
•   July 17: James City County Recreation Center, 1-3 p.m., 5301 Longhill Rd.

In addition to the environmental benefits of the program, O-I also makes quarterly donations to the United Way of the Virginia Peninsula through their GLASS4GOOD program as a token of their appreciation for citizen efforts.
