Colonial Williamsburg’s talented landscape staff strives to nurture the relationship between historical practice and the needs of the contemporary environment, just as our interpretive staff work to bring the past to life in ways both accessible and relevant to a modern audience.
This year’s symposium presentations and speakers explore diverse topics and perspectives as we examine how historical gardening methods can both challenge and inspire us to bring about a more sustainable future. From edible gardening to landscape architecture and design, Colonial Williamsburg’s 77th Annual Garden Symposium digs deeper into the Roots of the American Garden.
