The W&M Gallery Players, a conductor-less string orchestra comprised of 15 musicians, will present a concert featuring Antonin Dvorak’s early masterpiece Serenade for Strings in E Major, a sunny composition with beautiful Bohemian melodies; Ottorino Respighi’s Ancient Airs and Dances Suite III, a 1920’s composition based upon 16th century lute music; and Journey for String Orchestra, an original composition by W&M student composer Aaron Ostenfeld.
This concert will take place in Gallery 10 at the Muscarelle Museum of Art. Free admission but we encourage you to reserve free tickets.
